Crime is her Game

Production
Collection | 7 x 90'

On one hand, Gaby, “field mouse”, is both cop and farmer. Two activities that are hard to juggle, especially when you live alone and are always short of money to fix up the family farm that’s falling into ruin. She’s got a temper and her own methods, which often lead her to flirt with illegality, never hesitating to bluff a suspect or a prosecutor.

On the other hand, Céline, a “city rat”, is as straightforward, respectful of rules, scholastic and formalist as Gaby is borderline, messy and brutal.

Yet the two women cohabit, overcoming their antagonism to form a powerful duo ready to tackle each new case.

A detective comedy rich in twists and turns, which also reveals a certain love of the land, of nature, a desire to return to one’s roots.

Gaby Molina was not supposed to deal with the road accident in which her neighbor, Harry Fergusson, a famous writer, died. That was up to the gendarmes. But Gaby, who is both a cop and a farmer, has as much flair as the truffle dog that’s always at her heels. What if the writer, who wanted to expose a crime that had gone unpunished in his next book, had been killed?

A corpse is discovered in an old house that has been for sale for months. The investigation revealed that the man had suffered cardiac arrest and, according to the coroner, had “died of fright”. Judicial Police officers Gaby Molina and Céline Richer are in charge of the case, but they want to find out what happened. Although the house has a reputation for being haunted, Céline refuses to believe that the man was the victim of evil spirits. Unlike Gaby, who is more open to the mysteries of the supernatural. All the more so as the victim had the unusual profession of “ghost hunter”…
